A re-roof is worth doing when the fixings have gone across the whole roof rather than in patches — at that point every repair buys a season and costs money that should go towards the real job. We strip to the rafters, check the timbers, and rebuild with breathable underlay, treated battens and a covering chosen for the exposure of the site.
How we do it
- 01
Survey
Measured survey, pitch and exposure recorded, covering options priced.
- 02
Strip
Scaffold up, covering removed and taken away, roof sheeted overnight.
- 03
Prepare
Timbers inspected, any rot cut out and spliced, membrane and battens fixed.
- 04
Insulate
Where specified — at rafter or ceiling level, with ventilation paths kept clear.
- 05
Cover
New slates or tiles laid to gauge, verges and eaves detailed.
- 06
Flash & finish
Lead dressed to chimneys and abutments, ridge fixed, gutters checked, final inspection with you.
