Standing seam suits low pitches and complex shapes that a tile cannot follow, and it is the right answer on a modern extension where the roof is meant to read as one plane. Profiled sheet is the practical choice on agricultural and industrial spans. Both need the substrate and the ventilation right, or you get condensation on the underside.
