Moss holds water against the covering and blocks gutters when it comes away, so it is worth removing. It is not worth removing with a pressure washer — that strips the granular surface off a concrete tile and takes years off its life. We scrape and brush by hand, clear the gutters properly and treat with a biocide that works over the following months.
